Tripenger recommends a genuine PNR reservation as a prudent choice. The Greek Embassy’s Zimbabwe visa page does not publish a local flight-document checklist that proves a PNR is required; ask the Embassy in Harare for the current requirements for the specific trip. An itinerary is not a paid ticket.

Recommended Flight Itinerary Type

Based on the guidance linked above, we recommend considering a flight reservation with a PNR to show your planned travel. Tripenger’s PNR package includes an airline booking reference, subject to airline availability. The guidance does not explicitly require a PNR, so please check the latest requirements with the relevant visa authority before ordering.

Choose Your Package and Order Your Flight Itinerary

Planning an Athens city break, a Greek island holiday or a visit to relatives? Zimbabwean ordinary passport holders normally need a visa. A Schengen visa (type C) covers short visits of up to 90 days in any 180-day period; longer study, work or residence generally requires the appropriate national visa (type D). Your flight plan should explain the whole journey, including how you will reach an island if your international flight arrives in Athens.

For a short visit, prepare a flight plan showing your arrival and return or onward departure. Tripenger recommends a genuine reservation with a PNR when reserved flights are requested. Confirm the Consular Office’s checklist for your visit before choosing a schedule without a reservation. A flight itinerary and an island hotel booking are separate documents.

Choose your flight itinerary when your journey and document requirement are clear. After visa approval, compare flights to Greece on Tripenger.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I submit my Greece visa application in Zimbabwe?
Contact the Consular Office of the Greek Embassy in Harare to arrange submission and obtain the checklist for your visit. The official contact page lists 8 Deary Avenue, Belgravia, Harare, and gremb.har@mfa.gr. Use that office’s instructions for your appointment and documents. Do not assume a VFS appointment for another Schengen country can receive your Greece application.
What type of flight itinerary do I need for Greece?
For an ordinary visit, Tripenger recommends a genuine return or onward reservation with a PNR when reserved flights are requested. Ask the Greek Consular Office for your category’s checklist and confirm whether it accepts a proposed schedule before selecting Basic. A Basic itinerary has no airline booking reference and should not be presented as a reservation.
Do I have to buy a paid flight ticket before my Greece visa is approved?
Confirm the Embassy’s requirement before buying a non-refundable fare. A reservation can show an intended journey without an issued ticket, but the local public guidance does not establish a single ticket-purchase rule for every category. Ask whether an unticketed reservation is sufficient for your application and whether anything further is needed later. An itinerary-service fee does not include the airfare.
Can I book a different flight after my visa is approved?
Usually, yes. You can choose another airline or flight time for the same genuine visit to Greece. Keep travel within the visa’s validity, permitted stay and entries, and update accommodation and insurance as needed. Carry your current booking confirmations when travelling. Ask the issuing authority about changes to your main destination or purpose. Once approved, search Tripenger for flight deals to Greece.
How long will my flight reservation remain valid?
A reservation with a PNR lasts until the airline’s ticketing or cancellation deadline; it is not automatically held until your visa decision. Check the deadline before ordering and make sure the booking is valid when you submit it. If the visa office later requests updated evidence, arrange a fresh reservation. A schedule-only itinerary has no reserved seats to expire.
What if I am staying with friends or relatives in Greece?
If you will stay with someone in Greece, ask the Consular Office for its private-visit checklist and the host’s required invitation, identity and residence documents. Show the actual address and dates. If the host will also pay your costs, explain that sponsorship and provide the requested evidence. A host letter and a flight itinerary support different parts of your application.
Do I need to show my Athens-to-island flight or ferry?
Include the planned connection if you will stay on an island after arriving in Athens. Show the date, destination and intended transport, and provide reservation evidence where the checklist requires it. You do not need to invent a domestic flight when you intend to use a ferry. Allow realistic transfer time between the airport, port and accommodation.
Should I copy the bank-document list from another traveller’s experience?
Use it to prepare questions, then follow the Embassy’s current checklist. Zimbabwean discussions mention requests for bank statements, bank letters and employment evidence, but one traveller’s extra request is not automatically a rule for everyone. Obtain the current list from the Consular Office and show clearly how you will pay for the trip and return journey.
Does this advice also apply to a student or long-stay visa?
If your course, employment or residence plan needs a national visa, use the Greek national visa process. A short holiday itinerary does not replace admission, employment or other category-specific documents. Ask the Consular Office which flight evidence is needed before arranging a long-stay journey; a short-stay return reservation should not be used to misstate the length of your course.
How do I order a flight itinerary for Greece on Tripenger?
Go to Tripenger’s itinerary page, enter your proposed journey and select the package matching your document requirement. Basic supplies a flight schedule without a PNR and is delivered within 10 minutes of payment confirmation. Choose a PNR package when you need a reservation, and check its delivery and hold terms. Airline booking retrieval is subject to the airline’s systems and ticketing deadlines. Tripenger does not decide your visa application.
Can I order an accommodation itinerary or hotel booking on Tripenger?
Not yet. Tripenger does not currently provide accommodation itineraries or hotel bookings. Arrange your hotel or island accommodation directly with the provider, or get the required host documents for a private stay. Keep the dates aligned with the international journey and island transfers. A flight itinerary covers your flights only.
Can I buy travel insurance for Greece on Tripenger?
Not yet. Tripenger does not currently sell travel insurance; buy your policy separately from an insurer. For an ordinary Schengen short visit, arrange insurance valid throughout Schengen for the full stay, with at least €30,000 for the required emergency medical and repatriation expenses. Check any additional instructions from the Consular Office. An itinerary purchase does not include insurance.
