If you live in South Africa and are preparing a short-stay Schengen visa application for Belgium, use this guide to check your flight evidence and find the relevant application route. The guidance here covers short-stay applications; use the appropriate official checklist for the purpose of your visit.

Flight itinerary and application guidance

Prepare a return flight reservation in your name showing each entry to and exit from Schengen, plus your transport to Belgium if you enter through another country. We recommend a genuine reservation with a booking reference (PNR). TLScontact advises waiting for your visa before paying for reservations. Complete VisaOnWeb first, then use your application number to book with TLScontact. If you live in the Western, Eastern or Northern Cape, use Cape Town or Port Elizabeth. Residents of the other South African provinces use Centurion, Durban or Bloemfontein.

A PNR is a booking reference for a flight reservation. It does not by itself mean that a flight ticket has been issued. A ticketed itinerary includes a ticket number.

Where to apply in South Africa

Application provider: TLScontact for the Belgian diplomatic missions in South Africa.

Application cities: Centurion, Durban, Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth.
