If you live in South Africa and are preparing a short-stay Schengen visa application for Poland, use this guide to check your flight evidence and find the relevant application route. The guidance here covers short-stay applications; use the appropriate official checklist for the purpose of your visit.

Flight itinerary and application guidance

For your visa application, provide a round-trip flight booking or reservation with dates and flight numbers, including departure from and return to South Africa. We recommend a genuine reservation with a booking reference (PNR). Book through e-konsulat and apply in person at the Polish Embassy’s consular office in Pretoria. If you are not a South African citizen, your proof of legal stay or residence permit must remain valid for at least three months after your intended departure from Schengen. When you actually travel, carry your issued return ticket: border officials may ask for it.

A PNR is a booking reference for a flight reservation. It does not by itself mean that a flight ticket has been issued. A ticketed itinerary includes a ticket number.

Where to apply in South Africa

Application provider: Consular Section of the Embassy of Poland in Pretoria.
